About Us

Our Strategy

Our strategy is to replicate the ministry approach that Jesus implemented with His disciples by raising up mature, Christ centered leaders to transform hearts, communities and ultimately the world through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus modeled effective mentoring as He trained His disciples how to have a healthy.relationship with Him, His Father, and one another. Following His example, our first priority is to disciple ourselves and ensure that we have a vibrant relationship with God. From the place of abiding connection with Jesus, we engage in life-on- life discipleship relationships with others, empowering them to be vessels of God’s love and healing to youth in DC, and to the communities where God has called them.

Our Work

  • We mentor underserved youth as we spend time with them in their communities and schools, coach their sports teams, engage in Bible studies/spiritual activities that foster connection with Jesus, organize/attend retreats and mission trips, help them develop life skills, empower them to maximize their God given potential, and assist them and their families with practical needs/resources
  • We engage in life-on- life discipleship relationships with a small group of committed believers, training and empowering them to love God and live out an authentic relationship with Jesus, grow in relational/emotional maturity, go out “two by two” to share the love and truth of Jesus, mentor underserved youth in DC, and replicate this ministry model.
  • We open our homes to those we are discipling, inviting them to live in community with us as we grow in relationship with Jesus together. Our current discipleship houses are The 859 House (NE DC) and The Park (SE DC).
  • We build relationships with churches, schools and organizations as we serve with them in ministry, and we unite the Body of Christ to pray.
  • We offer HeartSync Ministry to those who have been emotionally and relationally wounded so that they are able to love and serve God with all of their heart, soul, mind and strength.

Our Guiding Principles

  • The purpose of our lives is to love God and love people (Matthew 22:35-40)
  • The Gospel is a Person, and His name is Jesus (John 5:39-40, John 14:6, Colossians 1:27-28, Galatians 2:20, John 17:3)
  • The work of God is to believe in Jesus (John 6:28-29, Hebrews 11:1-3, 6, Mark 9:23-24)
  • The primary ministry of a follower of Jesus is reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:16-21)
  • The church is the body of Jesus Christ (Matthew 18:18-20, Ephesians 4:1-6)
  • The method of leadership is to serve with and through Jesus (Mark 10:42-45, John 13:3-4, 14-17, 2 Corinthians 4:5)
  • The kingdom of God is the rule and reign of King Jesus that begins in our hearts (Luke 17:20-21, Romans 14:16-17, Matthew 6:33)
